Another edition of the Jalón Ángel International Photography Award beats record with more than 3,700 participations

The 6th Jalón Ángel International Photography Award has ended its sixth entry deadline setting a new record of participation. The online platform, where applicants submit their entries, closed last Sunday, 17th May at 11:59 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) with 3,712 entries. In the Portrait category, 1,805 photographs have been submitted, in the Travel category 1,465 and in the special category Education and Cooperation 442. This surpasses last year’s figures which totalled 2,853 participations.

This year images have been received from 105 countries. The majority have been from Spain, Russia, Iran, France, India, Bangladesh, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Italy. This year, we can add to the list participation from Bolivia, Cambodia, Cyprus, the Philippines, Finland, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Japan, Mali, Montenegro, Nepal, New Zealand, Panama, French Polynesia, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Zimbabwe, Turkmenistan, Curaçao, among others. From Spain, entries have been received from Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Zaragoza, Malaga, Valencia, Asturias, Jaén, Seville, Alicante, Cádiz among others.

The decision will be announced on 26th June publicly through the Archive's social networks and on the website.
